After selling EYE-TECH to the OPTIKA-CLULOW GROUP in 1993, Adam decided to find himself and had a three year semi-sabbatical doing so. (You know - Thailand, NLP, spiritualism, that kind of thing).
Then, after making and losing a (paper) fortune via new media and the internet, he went and got married... |
Adam has now thrown all his energy into his new practice and is thoroughly enjoying being back in optics. His eight year break has refreshed his desire to provide excellent patient care and clinical attention.
He firmly believes in providing excellent eyecare and eyewear. No expense has been spared in the consulting room and he has built up a solid reputation for stocking wild and eclectic eyewear as well as many hundreds of more conventional but stylish frames.

He is happily married to Juliet, with three young girls, Maya, Rosie and Bobbie. Juliet works in the shop a couple of days a week and has become an invaluable member of the team. He plays poker every Thursday evening and can definitely beat you at tennis (unless you're good). |
He is extremely outspoken about the demise of the optical profession, which he blames on the government (who else!) when they deregulated dispensing opticianry in the 1980s, paving the way for the likes of Specsavers and Optical Express, which although wildly successful from a commercial point of view, have done nothing for the advancement of quality eyecare in the country.
Adam prefers to employ qualified dispensing opticians rather than sending school-leavers on a three week course. |

See these frames I'm modelling?
They're an assymetric Eyewitness frame by Theo, which means that they only made a limited number and now they've run out.
I love them so much (not just for myself) that I've exclusively had them re-made in a limited edition of 100 frames in 5 colours. |
How did I end up with someone so beautiful?
